We got our official AARP membership cards yesterday.
Also, the top Grammy nominees are Beyoncé (9), Kanye West (8), Rihanna (8), Drake (8), and Chance the Rapper (7). Beyoncé is the oldest. She's 35. None of them are on my playlist.

Hey, I wanted the magazines
Hey, I wanted the magazines since I no longer get them second hand from my previous source.
You're no technophobe or Luddite in your AARP years. And, at least you know what to do at a DOS command line.
Also in my defense, I did
Also in my defense, I did recently purchase the new Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga albums.
Speaking of Bruno Mars, a funny quote from a recent Rolling Stone article: "People don't even buy songs any more and I'm trying to make albums."
If not getting Kanye West
If not getting Kanye West makes one old, I'm Methuselah.
You can always pick up
Album of the Year nominee The Sailor's Guide to Earth by Sturgill Simpson and you'll find plenty to like, old-timer.
Thanks, I'll check it out.
(in reply to Andy Axel)
Thanks, I'll check it out.
Got it. Just listened to it.
(in reply to Andy Axel)
Got it. Just listened to it. Great album! No wonder it got the nomination.
I gather it's supposed to be country, but damn if it ain't all over the place and unclassifiable. What a talent.
Thanks again.
My pleasure
(in reply to R. Neal)
The man puts on one hell of a live show. If he makes it by the Tennessee Theater, y'all should pick up a pair of tickets.
The horns were an unexpected addition to the lineup but damn if they don't work.

Got my Medicare card a few months ago, hope Medicare is still around when I retire.
Was in the AARP briefly, didn't see the benefit. You can get the same discounts with AAA.
News
With the majority of the media not providing much in the way of information, I find the AARP magazine and newsletter to be worthy of reading.

(in reply to Treehouse)
I'm also hoping they will be a strong advocate/lobbying force in the upcoming Social Security and Medicare battle. I see it as sort of a union or NRA type outfit in that regard.
(Although AARP Tennessee sort of rolled over on voter photo ID. They helped "educate" on it after the fact, not sure what they dd to fight it in the first place.)
Remember that AARP is a
(in reply to R. Neal)
Remember that AARP is a wholly owned subsidiary of United Health Care and you'll be fine.
Knew that they have basically
(in reply to WhitesCreek)
Knew that they have basically turned into an insurance company but did not know that.
