From HuffPo:

...he no longer wants to be called a vice presidential candidate.
...
He opposes the word “vice” on religious grounds
...
asked during his press conference if he condemned the word “vice” on Christian principles, why then didn’t he condemn the Ku Klux Klan, a white supremacist organization, that openly participates in immoral and wicked behavior?

“I would,” he answered. “But if we start criticizing deplorables, we run the risk of losing half our voters.”
...
“The Bible says that the Lord helps those who help themselves,” Pence responded.

“But governor,” the reporter responded, “that phrase is not in the Bible.”

“Never mind,” Pence responded, “it’s in the Republican Bible.”

And then there's this......

I'm not sure where to put this, nor can I verify its truthiness, but I find it interesting.

Could it be that a vote for Trump is actually a vote for more terrorism?

Sick, homophobic false flag.

Sick, homophobic false flag. Probably. Who knows?

Uh.

Y'all did catch the "satire" tags at the end of the Huffington Post bit linked and quoted to start this thread, right? I wasn't going to say anything earlier, as I thought perhaps the linking and the quoting were simply an extension and endorsement of the original satire. Now that the subsequent commentary is not satirical at all, I feel compelled to refer everyone back to the fact that the HuffPo bit was definitely satire.

Mr. Pence did indeed revere Cheney and utter a number of bald-faced lies on the Sunday talk shows today, so there's no point in using satirical but false info about him to demonstrate his awfulness. No embellishment is needed to demonstrate that at all.

I watched a documentary last

I watched a documentary last night called The Imposter. Briefly, a 23 year old, black haired, brown eyed Algerian claimed to be the lost 16 year old, blond haired, blue eyed son of a Texas family. Against all reason the family believed his story.

A desire to believe something is a powerful thing.

Poorly written satire

The worst part is attacking a mans religious beliefs. Rewriting the Bible to suit your worldview is not something Pence needs to do. It is quite commonplace for the crowd described in Romans 1.

Sad thing is the article is completely believable. Ridiculing the ridiculous is a tough job.
