The workers, who are based in Queens, N.Y., walked off the job when Jairo Reyes, a 24-year company veteran and union activist, got in a dispute with the company over the number of hours senior staff could work, according to the New York Daily News.

This one is going to get dicey. There hasn't really been much in depth reporting and at first glance would appear to be a case of what role sequence of events will play in how the contract is interpreted. It would appear to have started with a pretty clear case of a due process violation, but without more specific details it's hard to say how this will all play out.
