There are sketchy reports on the internet that actor James Gandolfini died of a sudden heart attack today in Italy.

I first became aware of his acting chops in "True Romance." He perfected that character with his iconic role in "The Sopranos." He did some other movies in which he seemed to be moving beyond all that. He was only 51. No telling what could have been. He was also involved in a number of charities, including the Wounded Warriors project.
