The Tennessee Dept. of Labor and Workforce Development received notice of one plant closing for the week.

Commercial Vehicle Group, which makes seats and equipment for commercial vehicles, is closing a facility effective 1/6 through 3/16 affecting 220 workers. The state report lists the facility as being in Morgan Co., but I believe it is referring to a facility in Monroe Co. The company had previously announced it was closing its Tellico Plains cut and sew operation. They still have a facility in Vonore that is not affected. The company last year also announced expansion of operations in Mexico and China. CVG was a major employer in the small town of Tellico Plains, population approx. 900. CVG acquired the facility there in 2007.
