If you're looking for some fresh, locally grown produce and would like to support local independent growers, look no further than the Maryville Farmer's Market.

You'll find tomatoes, cucumbers, okra, squash, potatoes, peppers, corn, carrots, beets, beans, apples, grapes, watermelons, herbs, honey - you name it, someone there is probably selling it.

The Mrs. got some cucumbers, grapes, a rosemary plant, and from Smoky Ridge Apiaries and Crafts some orange creamed honey and beeswax candles.

Hours are 8:00 AM until 12:00 Noon or sold out, every Saturday through October. We went a couple of weeks ago, but we got there around 10:30 or 11:00 AM and most vendors were sold out and packing up. We got there earlier today, and the selections were good. There was also a festival today, with entertainment and activities for kids of all ages.
