Meet Tom Ridge, anti-American.
"I take a look at this individual who has been charged criminally, does that mean he gets his Miranda warnings? The only information we get is if he volunteers it?" Ridge said. "He's not a citizen of this country. He's a terrorist, and I don't think he deserves the full range of protections of our criminal justice system embodied in the Constitution of the United States."
He then makes some stupid political point about Guantanamo and ex-detainees being held there without trial in the functional equivalent of a gulag. Answer this question, Mr. Ridge: Was Solzhenitzyn radicalized before he was packed away to Siberia in 1945 or after? If you answer before, then you are an idiot.

Sweet
Isn't this the guy who recently admitted that he was doing W's (really Rove's or Cheney's) bidding by manipulating the public's fear via his department's color code alert scheme, just for pure politics? It was nice to hear Janet Napolitano on TDS denounce the batty color alert for the political gimmick it really is (or, hopefully, was).
And while there's no TSA chief thanks to GOP politics
I'd like to hear Ridge spin this.
Now that the shoe is on the other foot...
Interestingly, Tom Ridge and his ilk were perfectly happy when the Richard Reid the-Shoe-Bomber pled guilty in a federal court:
