Eric Pearson thinks that Democratic leadership has adopted the principles of socialism, communism, fascism and Adolph Hitler, and he wants us to give him money so he can run against Jim Cooper to represent Tennessee's Fourth District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He's really not worth talking about, but I'm tired of getting email alerts every time he vomits all over the tndp.org site. Mike Lawson has the Eric Pearson background check.

Merry Christmas Eric Pearson, I know the blogs have been dismissive of you; maybe google will know where to find you now.

Thank you two for the comments and thanks to the blogs that linked to this post which accomplished what I was trying to do: Now when you google "Eric Pearson Tennessee", "Eric Pearson Fourth District", or Eric Pearson House of Representatives" this post is the #1 search result. I forgot the keyword "Congress", so there it is.

He says he wants to change the direction of the party, but he's coming at it from the same angle as this guy. Don't be that guy, Eric. It's not productive. And Jane Hamsher: read this.

Attempts to discredit anyone with an opposing view in politics.

EricLykins. . . attempts to discredit anyone with an opposing view in politics. This is particularly due with my political believe in the following:

We as Democrats of the Democratic Party must remembrance our patriotism as Americans in the fight to restore our country to the basic principles as provided by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.

For too long we have been silent, and we are now standing up and fighting back. No longer will we let the elites in government dictate to us how our country should be! No longer will we let the federal government over step its Constitutional bounds! No longer will we sit idly by and see our children and grandchildren futures destroyed by a crushing debt they will be left to pay!

For years now our country has been under attack. Not from a foreign enemy, but from inside the very fabric of this great Republic. Too long we have placed our trust and faith in our elected officials to only be betrayed time and time again. We have given powers to those who use it against us while telling us it is for our own good. Then once we stand up and say "No More!”, these same politicians call us unruly and even terrorists.

In the month of July, 233 years ago a group of enlightened men penned a call to freedom that sparked the birth of this great nation...The Declaration of Independence. They knew once they signed that bold document, they would be considered traitors to the crown. They knew they were putting not only all they possessed but their very lives in jeopardy. Together they pushed forward with their faith in God and under great sacrifice this country was born.

We must think back on all we were given by those who came before us, and how we are saddened at where we are today as a nation. We have become a people more interested in what's happening on Dancing with the Stars and American Idol. We have allowed groups with their own agendas dictate the direction of our country. We have stayed in our homes on Election Day because we did not see anyone we could support with enthusiasm.

We don't need to be a Washington insider to make a difference, and true leadership doesn't come from going to an Ivy League school or sticking their finger in the wind to see what direction to follow. We are tired of these types of politicians, and we want elected representatives who will put the Constitution and all it stands for in the foremost part of every vote they make on our behalf. We want elected representatives who will not put their personal desires before that of the country and it's citizens.

We need to stop letting the elites in each party tear us apart. We need to speak out and educate our fellow Americans to the fact that we have been pawns in a sick game of restructuring the very foundations of this country and through the manipulation of special interest groups, we have blindly given up many of the rights and freedoms we were given in our founding documents. So we as a nation need to heed the Call To Duty and help support those who would step forward in the spirit of true conservative leadership and become Constitutional Warriors in this quest to bring our country together on a path to renewed greatness.

With that now said, please let your heart and mind guide you as patriotic Americans in doing what is best for our county, and our Democratic Party.

I'm sorry...I just don't get people like you...

What the hell is wrong with someone getting an education which (by anyone in the WORLD) is considered first rate at Harvard or any Ivy League school? It was good enough for John Adams. Or are you really this ignorant of American History? Do you even know the first thing about the Founding Fathers you tout so laboriously? Leadership is leadership and while it doesn't take an Ivy League education...such an education most decidedly DOES NOT HURT. You decry the elitists in modern day government, but honestly...the founding fathers of whom you wax so poetic...they didn't want people LIKE YOU to have any say at all in the government...only landowners and the elite educated class. Not women, not blacks, not immigrants, not non-landowning merchants, none of them.

I don't get the new meme that STUPID is GOOD and an education and ability to think critically is BAD. Since when did we become the country of the abysmally and terminally STUPID?

Um, I don't see anything that connects this wacko to Jane

Hamsher, so I'm not sure what the deal is here. You all noticed that after the rumors that started (and FDL WAS looking for someone), all of a sudden Cooper voted for a House bill that was to the left of what he said he would vote for.

There's NOTHING wrong with putting pressure on your elected representatives to get what you want, folks.

Pearson's a nut, but there's nothing to connect him to the FDL campaign against Cooper, so let's not go off track here, eh?

She thinks you are a troglodyte nonetheless.

Anyhow, it's a joke because they seem to think that primarying against Cooper is going to get a progressive into his seat. They don't understand that the TNDP is vestigial on a good day, and, on other days, indistinguishable from the the TNGOP and that TNGOP could run a gopher (see Zach Wamp) versus most Democrats because of that situation.

My comment about Hamsher was in response to

(He's not anybody approved, and I doubt he will be unless he takes my advice and makes Stacey Campfield his mentor.)

Very much on track now that "Meet Eric Pearson" now shows up on the first page of google search results for "Eric Pearson", and the domain name ericpearsonforcongress.com has been bought out from under him which will provide some entertainment if his "campaign" picks up any more hot air.

More importantly, what do you do with people like him? There's nothing wrong with being pisssed at the government and wanting to participate. Belittling someone's populist rage does not diffuse their energy or channel it productively. How do we convince him that Democrats are not disciples of Adolph Hitler and put him to work, or should he have been simply ignored completely? How do you know whether or not someone needs to be talked down from that tower before they jump or shoot?

Eric Pearson the Troll

Just call him out for what he is. He's a troll who set out to disrupt adult debate about issues that affect every single American. He's pathetic. He doesn't realize that health care isn't a right or left issue and that the Democratic party, not the Republican party is the only one trying to do something about this health care mess we are in.

Democrats want to get this mess fixed for everybody, versus the usual Republican meme of "I've got mine, "F" you. We're trying to get health care even for trolls.

Eric Pearson, for U.S. Congress, 5th Congressional District, TN.

Hello fellow Democrats:

Below is the exact message posted by me, and please note I never said who they are (I leave that to the reader):

“All great movements are popular movements. They are the volcanic eruptions of human passions and emotions, stirred into activity by the ruthless Goddess of Distress or by the torch of the spoken word cast into the midst of the people.”

“Do you now appreciate the depth of our National Socialist Movement? Can there be anything greater and more all comprehending? Those who see in National Socialism nothing more than a political movement know scarcely anything of it.”

Does the above two quotes remind you of anyone within our own Democratic Party, alone some of the statements made on why we need Health Care Reform?

Well, the above quotes are from another socialist, Adolf Hitler. Think about it. . .

Now who in their right mind would of thought we would now have pro-Marxist, pro-Fascist, and pro-Communist advisers and heads of departments in the White House?

In other words, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, then it is probably a duck.

The only duck here is

really a poser troll whose only objective is to sideline serious discussion.
I guess it's OK with this nutcase that so many people die every day because they can't pay the doctor bills. Many more than have died in 9/11 or all the "terrorist" attacks put together. But it's OK for Americans to die so insurance companies and Big Pharma can have their death profits.
You'd think even a troll like "Eric" would recognize that insurance companies are socialist. Many pay in so that the cost is borne by all instead of a few. Only, since the non-profit aspect was changed back in old Tricky Dick's era, and insurance companies became for-profit, and HMOs were devised so that the "insured" would get less care, people like Eric think it's OK to tell people to just F___ Off and die.
People like Eric have bought into the lie that Americans don't deserve good health, and this country is not capable of implementing a Medicare for All plan like Canada's. Maybe you think you don't deserve it, Eric, or maybe you're really young and think you'll never have anything serious happen to you - like getting older. But that does, and will happen, and when you're sick and wondering where your medicine will come from, and if you'll be able to pay the astronomical bills that mount up in spite of your "insurance" policy,it'll still be REAL Democrats who are fighting, even for people like you, who have spit in our face and cursed us - because it's the RIGHT thing to do!

Passing the health care bill at any cost.

JustWondrin. . . is for the passing the health care bill at any cost. Furthermore, she attempts to discredit any opposing view by following me around the internet message boards.

The Health Care Bill has been going on for over a year, and our Democratic Party representatives in Washington haven't agreed on it yet. As such, how can you have an option or even support it unless you’re a progressive (also know as socialist)?

Anyway, they are lying, for it will not start taking affect for over three years. They don't care about you over the fact they want to enact the coverage after the next Presidential election.

Obama and most of our Democratic Party representatives in Washington are outright liars on many of the issues concerning the health care bill. I have read most of the senate health care bill. Matter of fact, I have the complete health care bill posted on my web site.

I reject any attempt by President Obama and our Democratic Party representatives within the federal government to force any American to purchase an unwanted insurance plan.

I reject any attempt to implement a government-run insurance program.

I reject individual mandates, rationing, and special deals for any state.

I ask that Democratic Party Congress and President Obama to pledge in ensuring the constitutionality of any health insurance reform legislation.

I implore President Obama and our Democratic Party representatives (or should I say tyrants) in Washington to listen to the will of the American people and start over on health insurance reform.

I reject a separate set of rules for government and private sector health insurance purchases.

I oppose any plan that betrays our senior citizens by cutting Medicare coverage, or that allocates taxpayer funds to pay for abortion.

I reject any proposal that authorizes a government takeover of any portion of our health care system.

Hey, Eric P.

Wow! Since Monday, MoveOn members have pledged over $1 million to support progressive primary challengers to House Democrats who vote against health care reform. That's incredible.
But with the final vote just days away, the House is still short a handful of votes.

So we're setting an ambitious new goal to keep the momentum building: $2 million in pledges by Friday. That's a serious sum for any challenger, and will make conservative Democrats think twice before casting a vote.

Can you pledge today?

Could you call Jim Cooper (202)-225-4311, Bart Gordon (202) 225-4231, Lincoln Davis (202).225.6831 and John Tanner (202) 225-4714 who have not yet committed a yes vote to firmly establish health care as a civil right?

Rep. Cooper has been waiting to make a decision until he sees the final language of the reconciliation package which should be released today along with a CBO cost estimate. Reports of fence sitting reps that have seen it are beginning to roll in.
Thanks!
