This from the Facebook page:

"The Crown and Goose is taking over Legacy, kicking Janice out, and will use her store as storage space. Help support one of Knoxville's beloved thrift stores by not giving the Crown and Goose your business AND by shopping at Legacy while it's still open."

(I understand Legacy will NOT remain open through the holiday season.)

you don't know the story how

you don't know the story

how would one "know the story" other than from what's been said or written? all i know (fact) is that there is a "closing sale" sign on the door. i did a search and found two results: a knoxnews piece and a facebook page.

if you have additional info please state your sources, especially if you claim someone "was lied to."

I was already 'boycotting'

I was already 'boycotting' C&G over ongoing disagreements about the reasonable price for a beer and the animal content of their meals, so I'm not in a position to punish them further. Anyway, I understand landlord misrepresentations and all, but how do you rent an occupied structure without knowing you'll be displacing the current tenant? OTOH, how do you get that far behind on rent and expect to stay? The real bummer is displacing a working storefront just to board it up for storage. Bad news for the Old City.
