Josh Flory: Downtown Holiday Inn under contract:

Developer Nick Cazana said Thursday that he has a signed contract to buy the downtown Holiday Inn Select, at 525 Henley St.

Empowerment Zone money

It bothers me that 15 million of EZ funds has been applied for to "support the project". This is not an efficient wasy to increase employment.

Interesting that this sale was announced the day after Ken Knight lost his election. My tin foil hat is buzzing. I'm not implicating Duane Grieve, just that the buyer didn't want to have a particularly vocal opponent sitting on city council.

I hate to add to the buzzing, and I'm sure somebody will jump all over me for mentioning this, but as long as we're talking City Council, Nick Cazana also donated to the the Pavlis campaign.
