Glenn Reynolds notes here that "Joe the Plumber" will "be reporting from Israel" by linking to a story in the International Herald Tribune.
Why would Reynolds, the "supervising executive editor" of Pajamas Media, not just admit that his own organization just hired Joe the Plumber, rather than linking to an IHT story that sources the NBC affiliate in Toledo?
Glenn Reynolds just hired Joe the Plumber and can't bring himself to admit it.
I'd be embarrassed, too.

Heh. And of course Joe the Plumber is the preeminent expert on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict:
Link...
priceless. Glenn should be so proud.
"You don't want my opinion on on foreign policy, you know. I know just enough probably to be dangerous."
--Joe the Plumber to Shep Smith on Fox News.
Shep Smith is a Commie.
Right before coming here, I followed a link to story on "Joe the Plumber" going to Israel as a "war correspondent."
I was looking all over the page for evidence that it was a parody site. So it's actually true?
Brian A.
I'd rather be cycling.
Reynolds himself today linked to the IHT article, which references a source from the Toledo news station.
I wonder if he acquired his international expertise by staying at a Holiday Inn Express last night before leaving for Israel?
Surprised he could get a passport. Should be a law against leaving the country while owing taxes.
This was just now covered on NPR. If you were playing a drinking game on the word "real" you'd be pretty tipsy by the end of the short piece. The funniest thing is that there's nothing real about "Joe," or the spectacle he brings.
This Reynolds guy is a worse embarrassment to UT than the university's last 3 presidents. Imagine if some prof were as far to the left as this idiot is to the right and spent his days blogging about world affairs. Tenured or not, he'd be out on his arse in minutes.
You know, I never thought of that.
Liberal professors regular get excoriated by the right, but yet, one of the most prominent conservative bloggers is a professor.
"I'm not a member of any organized political party. I'm a Democrat." -- Will Rogers
IOKIYAR! And he's no university twit, so there!
"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro."
Hunter S. Thompson
It's a clever way to bring some international traffic to his blog though. I mean everyone will be all "OMGWTF is that doofus doing in Israel" but for sheer entertainment value it beats a dancing bear. Everybody will watch.
It may stir the core, but I think everybody's over Joe the Plumber. Way over.
I was told by a 'reliable' source that Joe the Plumber was going into gay porn after the election.
Instead he chose to further dishonor his family.

Reminds me of a video that a coalition of Jewish Democrats did in 2004.
Am older Jewish woman is at the beach, bragging about her two sons. One, she says, has seen all fifty states. (The video shows he's in a biker gang.)
The other, she says, is a big Hollywood star. (The video makes it clear he makes "naughty movies.")
One of the two women she's bragging to whispers, "I thought she had three sons!"
The second whispers back, "She does. The other one is a Republican!"
"I'm not a member of any organized political party. I'm a Democrat." -- Will Rogers
Joe was probably the only one they could find that was dumb enough to take the job.
Israel will probably murder him too.
Joe Blow says his christian God will protect him over there so no worries.
"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro."
Hunter S. Thompson
"Being a Christian" should be a real plus among all those Muslims and Jews.
Is this guy for real?
But I believe that attitude is a sin.
When the Devil tempted Christ, one of the things he suggested was that Jesus throw himself from the highest point of the Temple, because Scriptures said the angels would protect him.
Jesus responded, in Matthew 4:7,
Now, I suppose you could counter-argue there's a difference between simply going into a risky situation and intentionally jumping off a tall building, but I think the real point of the story is "don't do something stupid under the assumption God will watch out for you."
"I'm not a member of any organized political party. I'm a Democrat." -- Will Rogers
This made the Hot Topics on The View today. I thought it was a joke til then. Maybe the world really is about to end.
Joe the Plumber makes me miss Anna Nicole Smith.
both he and Pajamas Media may get more of an education than they either one bargained for.
