Democrat James Mackler drops out of Tennessee US Senate race

"This is a moment for unity and we cannot risk dividing those seeking change in Washington because there is no time to waste," Mackler wrote.

It's a team effort

I'm sorry to see him go but glad he's still involved and ok, go Bredesen!

Money

Bredesen can raise the money and Mackler can't. Too bad but that's the landscape we're in. With the depleted state of the TN Dem ground game it's up to the money people to determine who wins.

When are the Dems going to start building a bench? Will Mackler be rewarded? Lamar's GOT to be in his last term.
The TDP owes Mackler.

Not really in the mood to argue ancient history, but Kurita's Senate primary numbers against HFJr. were terrible. So she dropped out. The notion that she was some kind of victim is horseshit.

And if "all of that" means voting to give Ron Ramsey the speaker's gavel, yeah, that's the part I remember.

Kurita Robbed

The outrage involving Rosalind Kurita was that her primary victory for State Senate was stolen from her outright by the Tennessee Democratic Executive Committee as an act of revenge for her not voting for the senile glad-bag John Wilder for Speaker. Talk about fraud. The worst example in recent Tennessee history was that ridiculous theft of an election.
