While Congress debated whether to end the senseless U.S. occupation of Iraq last night, four more American soldiers died.

I'm glad you've used the

I'm glad you've used the word 'occupation' rather than 'war' which it is not. Coincidentally, I'm reading "Paul Robeson Speaks" where he criticizes the press for using 'war' in referring to Korea. There are some amazing parallels between that action and the current one, particularly in the areas of civil liberties, freedom of speech, and the looming threat of another "ism".
