We are going to make the front pages of the WSJ again because of our 'negatives', our ignorance, poor health, and low employment opportunities.

This situation speaks to the total lack of our TN Legislature doing one single thing to improve our collective lives in any area of Human Development.

Instead of focusing on ways to improve our opportunities, our GOP-led do-nothings spent the entire Session last year making sure they would not support the Health Care Reform Act. They voted FOR guns, carried with permits (the lists of those with permits to be kept secret, of course) to carry their arms everywhere. They voted to support the AZ law that discriminated against folks who MIGHT be here illegally. And they collectively disrespected the right of a major religion to build a mosque and community center on property it OWNED. Plus it supported an 'English only' law.

So, obviously our Majority of Do Nothings in Nashville did not encourage any foreign company from building businesses, or creating jobs for OUR citizens here in the land where 'outsiders are obviously NOT welcome'.

With all this negativity going on in Nashville, these statistics make perfect sense. Sadly.
