Ijams Nature Center is adding 13.4 acres south of the existing facilities on Island Home Pike in South Knoxville. The land is on the west side of the road next to the Meads Quarry portion of the park.

The addition was funded by Grayson Subaru of Knoxville. The land "features riparian wetlands along two creeks as well as upland habitat that includes a small cedar glade and secondary growth forest."
