The Race Relations Center of East Tennessee welcomes renowned activist and lecturer Molly Secours to Knoxville to discuss the myth of race and how those classified as white shy away from honest racial discussions.

The event is Tuesday, February 20, at 5:30pm at Pellissippi State, 1610 Magnolia Avenue, and is free to the public.

At 5:30 pm, March 8, 2007, the Blount County Commission Committee on Animal Control will be meeting in the Blount County Courthouse, room 430. They will be discussing the short term resolution for animal control.

There will also be a presentation by Smoky Mountain Animal Care Fountation on their plans to build a new animal shelter for Blount County.
