Just a reminder that comments to TDOT on this have to be postmarked by 1/4/2013. If you’ve been putting off sending your comment – like me – until the bustle of the holidays was over – don’t forget!

Comments should be mailed to (and sorry, TDOT won’t take emailed comments):
Public Hearing Comments
ATTN: James White Parkway DEIS
Tennessee Department of Transportation
Suite 700, James K. Polk Building
505 Deaderick Street
Nashville, Tennessee 37243-0332

More info here: (link...). Clicking on the "Dec 6 meeting materials” link will take you to a comment card. You can either fill that out and mail it, or just write up your own comments and mail them.

Emailed comments?

At the TDOT JWP website, I see the address below that suggests email comments might be accepted. I'm sending mine by snail mail on your advice, but I thought I would mention this in case some folks have last minute comments.

A friend of mine who inquired

A friend of mine who inquired about this was told that TDOT doesn't consider email "official correspondence" (just wait till they get in front of some judge with that argument...).

So I would go snail mail to be sure my comments were included. They have to be postmarked by Friday 1/4.
